A former partner in Deloitte’s Cork office, Brian Murphy, has lost his judicial review against the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and the Revenue Commissioners. Murphy no longer works for Deloitte. The judicial review proceedings concerned a settlement agreement between Murphy and the Revenue Commissioners which was signed on August 31, 2015. Murphy claimed by signing the agreement Revenue and the DPP were precluded from continuing ongoing criminal summons against him and from initiating fresh proceedings.
