It was named after Ireland’s only indigenous frog. Now, Natterjack, an Irish whiskey start-up, has sought bankruptcy protection from its creditors as part of a plan to rescue the business. Shane McCarthy, a restructuring partner with KPMG, has been installed as interim examiner to Gortinore Distillery Ltd, which owns two whiskey products which retail under the Natterjack brand.
