It was named after Ireland’s only indigenous frog. Now, Natterjack, an Irish whiskey start-up, has sought bankruptcy protection from its creditors as part of a plan to rescue the business. Shane McCarthy, a restructuring partner with KPMG, has been installed as interim examiner to Gortinore Distillery Ltd, which owns two whiskey products which retail under the Natterjack brand. The application was made in the High Court on Friday.
