Now the Mahon family, the owners of the famous Pig ‘N’ Whistle chain of pubs in New York, have pipped Conor McGregor, the MMA star, to acquire the well-known JW Sweetman pub on Burgh Quay, a four-storey venue overlooking the river Liffey.
