Glenveagh is a bellwether of the Irish housing system. It was set up by the late Justin Bickle and Stephen Garvey in 2017. The idea was that it would import two successful bits of the UK homebuilding industry: forward-funding, in which institutional investors commit to fund the construction of big apartment developments in advance; and stock market funding, in which stock market investors provide the equity capital.
