In my last article, I criticised Project Ireland 2040 for a lack of specific vision, which includes commercialisation of emerging technologies. Intermittently, I’ll give some examples of the type of focussed frameworks that could be introduced to encourage innovation in areas that suit the Irish ecosystem. This should support not just the commercialisation of an emerging technology, but also the support ecosystem around the breakthrough.
