I am writing this on April 22, Earth Day. A few years back, this was widely marked in the media, and by talks and lunchtime events in workplaces and in communities. But today I have only heard it referenced once.  Back in 2000, my publishers chose Earth Day for the publication of my book. It was an appropriate day to launch a book about the impact the way we live has on the earth. A day when the Earth and the environment would be in the news, making my book more likely to get attention.  Back then, just six years…
