Heading into Budget week, and the cabinet is facing into the headwinds of some serious structural and macroeconomic challenges fuelled mainly by external pressures. International oil and gas prices have spiked, largely as a result of the ensuing US-initiated conflict with Iran on top of the continued war between Ukraine and the aggressor Russia. Another fuel protest is on the cards and is potentially but a Budget announcement away.
