The national mood is souring. Businessfolk increasingly believe that the Government is anti-business, according to one recent survey. Another opinion poll showed that only a quarter of the public is satisfied with how the Government is performing. And things could sour further. Although the global energy shock is easing, as more traffic is exiting the Arabian/Persian Gulf, the coming winter is likely to bring very high gas prices in Europe.
