The biggest bias I come across in recruitment is that of ageism. For a lot of companies, candidates over 50 (speaking as a young 54-year-old) are dismissed on their date of birth alone. A myriad of reasons given too: Lack of energy.Not up to date on the latest IT systems.Winding down their career.Best days behind them. I could add to these, but I’ll stay polite.
