Incident logs for Tetratch Capital's CityArk aparthotel reveal three cases of domestic, sexual or gender-based violence in two years, alongside persistent fire safety issues caused by unauthorised cooking in rooms at the Citywest facility.

The State bought the hotel for €148m last August but a 12-month contract is in place to continue managing the centre, with a six-month extension option. Separately, South Dublin County Council has flagged fire safety and disability access issues with the justice department.

When Julian Gaisford-St Lawrence announced a deal to sell his family's ancestral home at Howth Castle, buyer Tetrarch Capital said they had worked on the exciting opportunity for several years. That statement is now being used in a lawsuit against him by another party who felt they were lined up to develop the property.
